History of Binodpur Union

Binodpur Union is the oldest union of the region. The local level governance system was first Panchayat system followed by Presidential system. Presently Chairman-Member system. Since the time of that panchayat system, the local governance system has been introduced in Vinodpur. As far as is known, Vinodpur first came under the panchayat system in 1870. The present Parishad building was built in 1963.
